These terms govern your use of Returnhub, a returns-management application for Shopify stores. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install the app.
Returnhub is operated by Suksessklubb AS (org. nr. 932 684 306), Tangen 24, Kristiansand S, Norway ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@returnhub.io.
Returnhub provides a self-serve return portal for your customers, a dashboard for you to review and decide on those requests, and — where you enable it — a withdrawal function intended to support the requirements of EU Directive (EU) 2023/2673 for distance contracts concluded by electronic means.
Acting on your instruction, the app can create refunds, cancel orders, and issue gift cards or store credit through the Shopify API. These are real, and in most cases irreversible, changes to your store and your money.
Returnhub is software, not legal advice. The withdrawal function is a tool to help you meet obligations that remain yours. We do not warrant that using the app makes your store compliant with the Consumer Rights Directive, the Norwegian Angrerettloven, or any other law. Your obligations depend on what you sell, to whom, and from where. Have your own adviser confirm your position.
You are responsible for:
The app records requests and can act automatically where you switch that on, but it does not monitor your deadlines for you and does not decide on your behalf.
Uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin cancels the subscription. Shopify does not pro-rate a partial billing period, and we do not refund unused time. Plan changes and cancellation are handled by Shopify, so you can make them without contacting us.
On uninstall we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Export anything you need first — withdrawal records in particular may be evidence you are required to keep, and they are not recoverable once deleted.
You agree not to:
We may suspend access where use of the app threatens the security or availability of the service for others, or where it breaches this section. Where practical we will tell you first.
We aim for continuous availability but do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. The service depends on Shopify's APIs, our hosting provider, and our email provider, and an outage in any of those can interrupt it. Planned maintenance is kept short and, where it is likely to be noticed, announced by email.
If the app is unavailable, statutory deadlines that apply to you are unaffected. Requests can still be handled directly in Shopify admin.
How we handle merchant and customer data — what we store, why, how long, and the sub-processors involved — is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. For your customers' personal data you are the controller and we act as your processor.
We retain all rights in the Returnhub software, brand, and documentation. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own store for as long as your subscription is active. Your data, your logo, and any images you upload remain yours; images are uploaded to your own Shopify Files and stay in your store if you uninstall.
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost sales, or regulatory fines.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct. If you are a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your Shopify account, or in the app, at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the revised terms. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
These terms apply from installation until the app is uninstalled. We may terminate with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you materially breach section 5 or fail to pay. Sections 7, 8, 9 and 12 survive termination.
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as the agreed venue at first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules in your country of residence.
